Mr. Detlef Sieverdingbeck became Head of Corporate Communication at the Schaeffler Group on June 1, 2008. He is responsible for internal and external communication of all brands that are part of the Schaeffler Group worldwide. The main brands of the Schaeffler Group are INA, FAG and LuK. Mr. Sieverdingbeck will report directly to the President and CEO of the Schaeffler Group, Dr. Juergen Geissinger.

Maintenance-free rod ends made from alloy steel comprise a housing with integral shank and a maintenance-free spherical plain bearing, Figure 1. The housing and shank has a thread to DIN 13, the diameter range extends from 5 mm to 30 mm. The bore tolerance of the spherical plain bearings is H7.

Schaeffler Group Automotive was successful in the Innovation Competition of the NoAE (Network of Automotive Excellence) at the Wuerzburg Automotive Summit on June 12 with two products. The Group was nominated for participation in the Innovation Vernissage in the “CO2 Reduction, Lightweight Design and New Materials” category for INA’s lightweight balancer shaft with rolling bearing supports as well as FAG’s twin tandem wheel bearings.

Schaeffler Group Industrial, with its brands INA and FAG, will showcase products and solutions for machines and plants destined for the paper industry at ZELLCHEMING-Expo 2008. This international annual meeting and exhibition is scheduled to take place from 24-26 June 2008 at the Rhein-Main-Hallen expo center in Wiesbaden/Germany. The Smart Performance Program will be in focus on the company’s exhibition booth. With this program, Schaeffler Group Industrial and its subsidiary FAG Industrial Services (F’IS) are offering a comprehensive portfolio of rolling-bearing related products and services.
