Mechatronic Technician in Herzogenaurach
The job
Mechatronic technicians assemble mechanical, electro-mechanical and electronic components to form mechatronic systems. They work with materials and assemblies both using machines and by hand.
- They program electronic control systems for our manufacturing facilities and carry out maintenance on these systems
- They carry out repairs and maintenance on our machines and systems
- They build and assemble complete machines and systems and are responsible for putting them into operation
- As electronics specialists, they comply with accident prevention guidelines.
The training
Mechatronics technicians work in the metal, electric and information technology industries and this job can therefore be considered a typical “cross-sectoral” vocation. After receiving basic training in electrical engineering and metalworking, you will acquire a wide range of skills such as:
- Assembling electric, pneumatic and hydraulic control systems, installing electric assemblies and components
- Ensuring the electricity supply for our machines and devices, installing and testing hardware and software components and programming mechatronic systems
- Carrying out and using manufacturing process and quality assurance systems
The training lasts 3 ½ years.
The minimum educational requirement is an intermediate school certificate.
