Due to the networks within the Schaeffler Group, INA and FAG have an extremely broad knowledge of manufacturing and have all the modern technology required for the highest level of cost efficiency and precision in high-volume production.

We produce precision products in 63 plants across the globe – everything from 2mm drawn cup needle roller bearings to large rolling bearings with an outside diameter of 4.25 meters.

At our Schweinfurt location we have one of the world’s largest bearing ring forges. 80,000 metric tons of steel are processed here every year alone. At our location in Herzogenaurach, 520 million finished parts are produced from 45,000 metric tons of steel every year.

With its brands INA and FAG the Schaeffler Group is among the leaders in the fields of cold forming technology, forging, machining, heat treatment, plating technology, and assembly.

Deep drawing, a process in cold forming is one of the core technologies at INA and FAG. Our unique expertise in metal forming of precision products enables us to manufacture solutions tailored to the customer in high-volume production at an outstanding cost-performance ratio.

All work related to quality, such as grinding and honing (precision grinding) the inner and outer rings of rolling bearings, is carried out in-house. Assembly is carried out for the most part on linked and automated manufacturing lines. This means we can ensure the continuing high standards of quality for our products. We even go one step further in the Aerospace sector. Here, all the manufacturing steps of each individual bearing are documented and archived.

Our in-house special machine and tool manufacturing department develops solutions that are specially adapted to the needs of our production. This means we can manufacture our products flexibly and cost-effectively.
