Guide rolls guide and turn the wire and felt cloth or fabric in the wet and dryer sections of a paper machine. Self-aligning bearings are used, as shaft deflections have to be accommodated. Lubrication and sealing differ, depending on the place of application. In modern machines, the bearings in the wet and dryer section have oil circulation lubrication.
